Where is it?

Moccasin creek festival 2026 is being held at 8724 E Marine Rd, Effingham, IL. 62401. (You can also navigate to Pinky's or the Rusty reel which is right next door.)

this is an outdoor event.

What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event and the festival will continue unless weather conditions become dangerous. Please keep an eye on the weather conditions and dress appropriately. For the local forecast, click here.

What's it like?

Paid attendees will be allowed to come and go from the festival grounds as they please.

we have 3 stages (Shady, main, and lake). We don't tend to have music on multiple stages at once.

Thursday 5pm-midnight

Friday 1pm-midnight

Saturday 11am-midnight

Sunday 11am-4pm

Can I buy food & drink onsite with a credit card?

There will be an ATM onsite, and most vendors prefer cash.

our box office and Some vendors will try to accept credit card (with applicable fees). Remember this is an outdoor event and we are subject to cell service so credit card payment may not always be possible.

Artist Merch CAN BE PURCHASED AT MERCH BOOTH WITH cash only. You should BUY A LOT. SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS!

we always recommend bringing cash as backup.

Is it all ages?

We encourage and expect a family-friendly atmosphere. However, there will undoubtedly be colorful language and somewhat loud music from time to time, so please keep that in mind.

All ages are welcome. Persons aged 15 and under are admitted free and are the responsibility of the adults who bring them.

Is there parking?

Parking is free and within 100 yards away. Handicapped parking will be available.

Are there chairs?

Please bring lawn chairs or folding chairs of some sort. The venue has a limited amount of seating, but plenty of room for everyone to stake a claim and unfold a few chairs!

Please, no high-back chairs or chair toppers/umbrellas - the people behind you want to see!

Where can I stay? Can I camp?

Camping is not included in the ticket price.

Lake Sara Campground is located just across the road, less than 1/4 mile from festival grounds – offering tent camping, showerhouses, and some (very limited) rv spaces.

note: They are notoriously bad at answering the phone. If you show up, they will find a place for you to pitch a tent.

the weekend rate is around $50 per tent, and you are free to come & go as you please. (we will confirm and update as we learn more.)

overflow drydock rv (no electric/water hookups) spots are availale at back of our parking lot - no charge, no frills, but lots of jams. first come, first parked. respect your neighbors.
